Hamburg Harley Days

The Hamburg Harley Days - you either love ‘em or hate ‘em. For professional reasons I did love them, as I had been working during the event since 2015 when I managed the event merchandise stall. Between 2013 to 2017 I was the event’s head of logistics and became the project manager for the 2018 and 2019 event. Our mission had been to make the event take place in the whole city for the last weekend in June every year. We achieved that by a main event, that was held at the Hamburg central fruit and vegetable market, a smaller side location in the city’s red light district, which obviously was a major magnet for the guests, and the ride-in-bike-show on the Saturday on Hamburg’s main shopping street. The bikers would ride between the locations, as they were able to drive through the main event site along the so called Main Street. A line of mostly Harleys would slowly push through the crowd with the occasional burn-out without a single accident or injury in 17 years.
